Day of Service NorthWest

DAY OF SERVICE NORTHWEST

Saturday, September 11th 2010

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The Cedar River Ward has been assigned to the MAPLE VALLEY COMMUNITY CENTER.

We will be weeding and getting the ground ready for planting so bring your gloves, hand tools, shovels, rakes, and wheel barrows and get ready to dig in the dirt!!

We will work at the Community Center until 11:15 a.m. at which time we will WALK to Lake Wilderness park and continue our service there. (Parking will be very limited at Lake Wilderness so plan to leave your car parked at the Community Center). At Lake Wilderness we will lay bark in the children’s play area, rake and weed several areas. At 1:00 there will be a special treat for all!

We are also trying to restock the shelves of the Maple Valley Food Bank. If you can, please bring a donation of non-perishable food items or toiletries. They are especially in need of toilet paper, soap, shampoo, diapers, feminine products, toothbrushes and other related items.

Thank you for serving our community on a busy saturday!
