Sunday Update

Sisters,

The Teaching for Our Times lesson was taught by new mom Nicole Hill. Elder Holland's Sunday morning talk "None Were with Him" spoke of the last week of the Lord's earthly mission when He found Himself rejected, betrayed, and let down by His earthly brethren, as well as being left utterly and completely alone on the cross, as His Father, of necessity, had to withdraw His presence and His Spirit from His Atoning Son that the sacrifice might be completed, that justice might be satisfied and the Savior, who had never known the absence of the Spirit and His Father's presence, might know how to succor us, who for many reasons, including sin, may feel totally and utterly alone. Because of the successful completion of the Atonement, we need never feel alone in that way, because He who has experienced all, knows how to succor us in our extremities. Elder Holland pleads with us to never again leave the Savior alone to face sin. We must always be found at His side, as His unfailing disciples, in word and in deed in courage and in faith.

Next week Joseph Smith lesson 35 Redemption of the Dead taught by Merrily Seely, new Enrichment Counselor.

Have a great week and a great Fourth of July!
